Coulee Go-Kart Raceway is pleased to announce a new series forming and joining us for a two day show at our West Salem track! The Northland Tour IKF Region 3 Pavement Series will be racing with us Saturday, June 28 & Sunday, June 29.

Coulee Go-Kart Raceway is a family-run 1/8 mile high banked pavement go-kart track located in West Salem, WI. The track can be found just off of Hwy 16 on the west side of the fairgrounds outside turn 4 of the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway.

We race most every Friday night with a few specialty Sunday races mixed in May - August. Typical nights we have between 45-60 karts racing in 8 different classes. Ages range from kids as young as 5yrs old up to adults 50+yrs old. Everyone in the family can get involved. Spectators can watch brothers, sisters, dads and even moms racing on any given night. Thanks to the help of a wide variety of sponsors the track has been in operation since the year 2000. We (Travis & Kelly Proksch) have taken on the challenge of managing the West Salem go-kart track. Travis and our oldest son, Tyler have raced at the track for the past 3 years, our youngest son, Collin joined them as a kid kart driver the last 2 years. Travis has a long history of the racing world starting at age 15, working on a sportsman team than a late model team, working at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway and driving at the Speedway and the Dells Motor Speedway.

The 2008 season is sure to bring about some exciting changes. Our major focuses are advertising to better get the word out about our track and also promoting respect in several aspects on the track and in the pits. We will be giving out extra awards for sportsmanship, introducing an adult animal class & will be making allowments for animal motors in the J-1 and J-2 class. We have list of novelty event ideas for intermission time and plan on creating other fan involvement events.
